Mars FM

Born in the high desert of Southwest Colorado, Portland based folkadelic rock trio Mars FM radiates a warmth that echoes the surreal beauty of their natural surroundings.

Zack Bauer [guitar, vocals, pedal steel], Zoe Larsen [bass, vocals] and Eli Wheeler [drums] create an ever evolving soundscape of dreamy spring reverb, cosmic overdrive, and ethereal harmonies that blur the boundaries between the Earth and the sky. Think Pinegrove, Khurangbin and Big Thief. Following the release of their first record, ‘The Sky Knelt to the Sea’, the band has played numerous shows around the Northwest, Chicago, and Colorado, attracting a fan base that crosses several generations.

Zack and Zoe connected in college, where they hosted a radio show from midnight to 3am. This nocturnal broadcast encouraged playful experimentation, a spirit they've carried into their live performances. Beyond traditional shows, they're known to put on impromptu concerts in the wilderness where they perform free for the trees and those who stumble upon them.

Tuning in to Mars FM will nourish your heart and spark your curious mind with sounds that nod to the past and bump knuckles with the uncharted terrain of the future.

Mars FM...takes you by the hand and walks you through a playful sonic dreamscape. Venturing through flowing melodies, rolling textured arrangements, distorted peaks and past the almighty Lammy, You’ll feel like you’ve been cast off into an ever changing sea on a thunder cloud.
